From the statesman-like to the supernatural – Londoners reveal their commuting ideals

As MBNA Thames Clippers (www.thamesclippers.com) begins the countdown to the launch of two brand new boats, the company that operates the only comprehensive commuter river bus service on the Thames commissioned a survey to uncover the Capital’s commuting gripes.

And it would seem that beating the traffic and staying above ground – sometimes quite a way above ground – is what Londoners yearn for from their daily commute.  One in every eight of the Capital’s dwellers (12.4 per cent) is jealous of Harry Potter’s broomstick as a mode of transport, followed by President Barack Obama’s Air Force One jet (10.6 per cent) and James Bond’s speed boat (8.3 per cent).

For those living in Putney and travelling to central London, two new boats from MBNA Thames Clippers, Galaxy Clipper and Neptune Clipper will provide additional capacity across the River Thames network this autumn.

“We solve real business problems using smart, inventive, and strategic techniques.”

Travel and Lifestyle PR is an ever-evolving industry, and we are proud to be able to deliver measurable results across many channels; from traditional newspapers to broadcast programmes, blogger communities and online community engagement.

PR campaign results mean different things to different people. It is important to set out the objectives in advance, and measure the PR results across variety of platforms. To some, PR results are assessed on column inches, media sentiment and brand name mentions; others want web traffic, improved market share and noticeable shift in the opinions of their target market. Of course, we have our own recommendations on how best to measure your travel and lifestyle PR results, and ensure that your public relations spend delivers in the best way for your business. Please talk to us if you would like to hear more.
