Charles Anson
Charles has held senior positions over the past 20 years as an official spokesman in both the public and private sectors, including a seven year post as Press Secretary to The Queen. In 2002, he was Communications Advisor for The Queen’s Golden Jubilee Weekend celebrations.
As a member of the British Diplomatic Service from 1966-87, Charles worked at 10 Downing Street as a spokesman for two Prime Ministers, James Callaghan and then Margaret Thatcher.
In his business career, Charles has enjoyed senior roles at Kleinwort Benson Investment Bank, GrandMet/Diageo, the Hilton Group and the European Broadcasting Union. Charles is also Chairman of the South Downs Joint Committee, helping the transition to the largest of Britain's National Parks.
Marie Louise Windeler
Marie Louise Windeler is an experienced senior executive and PR professional, with over 25 years experience in the industry.
As CEO of Hill & Knowlton UK, she was responsible for its multi-million pound fee revenue and over 275 staff. During her tenure she grew Hill & Knowlton into a full service agency offering a complete range of PR services in all sectors and practices. She pioneered the Crisis, Issues and Media Training practice which today is recognised as setting the standard for the PR industry.
She is a member of the prestigious Marketing Group of Great Britain and a non-executive director of VMA Search and Freshwater UK plc.
Marie Louise also speaks fluent French and Italian.
Peter Russell
Peter learnt his basic marketing skills at Young & Rubicam in the 1960s, working on accounts such as Cadbury's Dairy Milk, Typhoo Tea and Heinz Soup. Following three years in NPD, he set up Phillips Russell Plc in the 1970s which included media planning and buying plus the operation of the first commercial marketing library in London.
He is a founding Director of Keynote Publications, Verdict Research and Magpie Research. Currently, Peter runs Marketstudy Limited, a marketing consultancy embracing both desk and original research, and has conducted several key research projects for siren over the last few years.
Michael Brown
Media training is all about knowing how the press works. And Michael Brown is the man for the job.
Michael Brown's first career took him to the top in journalism as assistant editor of two national newspapers, editor of a major regional daily and regular broadcaster on TV and radio.
He made the leap to media training full time in 1994 and is regularly called upon by corporations for specialist advice on media interviews in Eastern Europe, Russia the US and South Africa.
Recently Michael was chosen for a key role in a TV documentary, networked throughout Europe, on how companies should get the most out of media through interviews and coverage.
Fiona Gaiger
With over 20 years experience in marketing communications agencies, Fiona’s strategic brand planning expertise ensures that siren considers the wider communications tasks and commercials when conceiving PR plans.
Previously Planning Director for Dynamo Marketing, she has worked across a vast range of consumer, retail and B2B brands including Sainsbury’s stores, Sainsbury’s Bank, Danone, Heinz, Unilever, Coca-Cola and Tunisian Tourist Office. Fiona has a passion for consumer insight, brand value, commercial realism and clarity of communications.
She sites her biggest impact achievements as creating and implementing Sainsbury's Active Kids campaign, devising The Actimel Challenge for Danone, launching the UK's first 100% electric sports car – the Lightning GT and helping M&S to develop its corporate incentives business.
