Siren Says

Hang up those high heels and put on some comfy ‘sneakers’!

Who would have thought that I would choose an NBA basketball game over the Sex and the City tour in New York City?

Freshly returned from a fantastic trip in New York and I’ve obviously shared my crazy shopping tales of Fifth Avenue and Broadway with all the Siren girls, but (and whisper this) the highlight of my trip was watching the Knicks play at Madison Square Gardens.

I am most definitely not a sports fanatic and would probably be described more as a girly girl, but on my last day with the little amount of money I had left (from all the shopping), I had to choose between the Sex and the City tour or the basketball game, so I chose the Knicks game for a different experience.

As I walked into Madison Square Gardens and followed the noisy crowd to my seat, I thought I’d get into the spirit of things and buy a giant foam finger and a hot dog. To my surprise, 30 minutes in, I found myself shouting and screaming support for a team that I had never even seen play before. It was a really close game and the atmosphere was amazing; they did however lose by two points to the Toronto Raptors, but I still had a great time.

The experience was great and I would definitely recommend it to anyone heading to New York, taking in some sport. Tickets are easy to buy and Madison Square Gardens is very centrally located, so hang up those high heels and put on some comfy ‘sneakers’! I promise you’ll have a magnificent experience.
